Beware of phishing messages and fraudulent websites purporting to represent The Point
Stay alert: there has been an increase in phishing emails and fraudulent phone calls and SMS. Scammers are using bogus SMS that encourage people to click links to fraudulent websites and conduct transactions where they are tricked into disclosing credit card and other personal information.

We urge customers to keep scammers at bay by remaining alert to these messages. Here are some tips to help you detect them:

  1. No communications from The Point will require members to provide sensitive personal information such as passwords or credit card details
  2. The Point website’s official domain name is www.thepoint.com.hk. Please verify the domain names of websites when you browse them and do not provide personal information and credit card details through any suspicious link
  3. Be vigilant if message contains phrases such as “illegal use” , “The Point bonus points expire today” or “reset password immediately”
  4. If you wish to perform a transaction, please make sure to log into The Point mobile app
